SEO is the acronym of Search Engine Optimisation that helps to maintain and to increase the quantity and quality of the website traffic(website traffic is the amount of data sent and received by visitors to a website) by increasing the visibility to any website or any webpage to the users. Promoting the site to increase the number of backlinks is another tactic of Search Engine Optimisation. A bank link for given web resources a link from some other website to that web resource).

When you put a question or search anything in any search engine you get a long list of links/website that would relate to your query.

Optimisation in general means, to make something as good and as useful as possible. So, we go for SEO, as SEO is an art of getting your websites highly ranked on any search engines in the organic listing. (organic listing or unpaid listing is listing of websites on search result pages).

Now here comes the importance of SEO:-

As known and experienced by everyone that the first appeared 5 results /websites on search engine result pages get 67% of all clicks and if you have your website below first 5 results or on the second result page, your site is equivalent to have no ranking at all. Hence if you want a website to be highly ranked and to appear on first result pages you have to go with SEO.

Optimization can be done in two ways -

On-page and off-page Optimisation.

On-page Optimisation is more important (almost 90%) than off-page Optimisation. Thinking why?

So before starting with "how" and "why", let's understand what do on-page and off-page Optimisation really mean.

On-page Optimisation is an essential part of SEO, with the help of which you can optimise your on-page elements. Yes as the name simply suggest on-page that means the different factors on your page like - URL, title tag, meta description, keywords, heading tags, content page speed, multimedia etc.

Now let's have a look what all these mean,

URL:-URL just like address, address of a page present on the internet, that must cover brief and good description of what your page is about.

Title tag:- Title tag refers to the page's title but it will only be there in search results as the title of your page.

Meta description:-it's your page summary that can be seen in a SERP's (search engine results pages). It must include core and related keywords for best results.

keywords:- Keywords describe the words to target valuable user queries. There are short-tail and long-tail keywords that searches can search and one should focus on optimizing both if want to get that page ranked.

Heading tags:- Heading tags are used to optimise the readability of your content, the better readability give searches mind to give a read your content.

Content:-Content is for, what searches comes to search engines. It's the reason why the user visits your site. Optimising your content can attract users to visit your site and hence increase the traffic.

Images:- By adding images to your page or content you are making sure that people understand it well. yes, people tend to understand much better with images.

Above all, were the important factors that mainly helps a website to get optimise with on-page Optimisation.

But there is one more kind of Optimisation that is off-page SEO, as understandable by the name itself that it's off-page that means whatever activities you and others do away or off from your website to increase the ranking of your page on search engines.

People think for off-page that it won't mean that much or it is just about links but now it's a big part need to followed to get your page ranked (almost 10%).

Unlike on-page SEO off-page is not about optimising your content or site it's about getting your website as trustworthy, usable and a good search result in search engines aspects.

This can be done in different ways the main factor of off-page Optimisation is link building. one must build links to get more visitors on the page. Building link means sharing your pages' links on other pages of social media and also on different websites where your website's link can be placed, this method makes you get noticed and help you to get traffic from there. It is also called backlinking. This is the basic and most important factor with which you get traffic on your page.

So, all that was on-page and off-page SEO to optimise your page and let people and search engine know about your page by Link building content etc. and making your page valuable and useful for the user and hence getting your page ranked.
